Attendance Zone Realignment Committee

Tomball ISD invites parents to volunteer for the Attendance Zone Realignment Committee to create several new school attendance zones.  In August 2015, the district will be opening three new campuses including Wildwood Elementary on Northpointe Blvd., Oakcrest Intermediate on Shaw Road, and Creekview Elementary on West New Harmony Lane in The Woodlands.  In August 2016, Creekside Park Junior High on Creekside Green Drive will also open in The Woodlands.  Therefore, it is necessary to review and realign several attendance zones.  During this process, the committee will work with a demographic consultant and jointly develop options for the new attendance boundaries.  The committee will make a recommendation to the Board of Trustees, who will review and set the new attendance zones.

The Attendance Zone Realignment Committee will be comprised of school staff members, district administrators, and 12 parents representing five different zones throughout the district.  Five alternates will be selected should a parent member be unable to serve.  Two parent volunteers from each of the five district zones will be selected during a random drawing.  Two At-Large parent positions will also be drawn from all of the remaining registration forms.

Parents can register to serve on the committee by completing the form online at by clicking Realignment Committee.  Please return the form to your child’s school.  You may also fax the form to 281-357-3128, email, or deliver the form to the John P. Neubauer Administration Building, 310 S. Cherry Street.  The deadline for submission is Wednesday, Sept. 24 by 4:30 p.m.

Theatre Dept. Preps for First Season Performance

The Tomball Memorial High School (TMHS) Wildcat Theatre Department is preparing for their first show of the school year.  The Balcony Scene by Wil Calhoun will be performed on September 25-27 and 29 at 7 p.m. at the Tomball Memorial High School Auditorium, 19100 Northpointe Ridge Lane.

The Balcony Scene is a full-length comedy about an off-beat romance that takes place between an agoraphobic apartment-dweller who falls in love, balcony-to-balcony, with his next door neighbor.  One of the main characters, Alvin, feels that civilization is crumbling around him and wants no part of it.  The only place he feels safe is inside his Chicago high rise apartment.  Karen moves in next door.  She is an optimist with a high pressure job and an ex-boyfriend who never seems to go away.  Alvin and Karen meet on their adjoining balconies and form a friendship that sets their two worlds on a collision course.

TMHS students Brandon Bulls, senior; Katelyn Ramirez, junior; and Nick Ysa, junior, promise an evening of laughs.  This production may not be appropriate for small age audiences.  Please contact the Tomball Memorial High School Wildcat Theatre Department with questions and for tickets.  General admission tickets are $10.  Tickets for Senior Citizens are $5.  281-357-3230

Policy Changes to Dual Credit and AP

Dual Credit

Dual credit is offered through an agreement between Tomball ISD and Lone Star Community College.  Like any college course, there are textbooks and other supplemental materials that are required by the instructor.  This year, Tomball ISD students enrolled in dual credit courses will be responsible for the cost of their textbooks and any supplemental materials required in the courses.  The course instructor will communicate the required materials and will work with students to communicate the best method of obtaining the required materials for the college course.  If you have any questions, please contact the campus or the course instructor.

AP Exams

As a reminder, this coming year, students will be responsible for the cost of their individual AP exams.  Students are strongly encouraged to take the AP exams for the courses in which they are registered, however they are not required.  Please note that students who choose to not take the AP exams for the courses for which they are enrolled will not earn the quality points for those courses for the spring semester.  If you have any questions, please contact the campus or the course instructor.

Home Access Center: Change Password

Home Access Center: Parent Contact Update

We wanted to make you aware of a correction that was made as of 2/21/2014 for Home Access Center’s password authentication as it may affect students and guardians. The authentication was allowing a student or guardian to login to HAC when the password was entered using different casing from the stored password. For example, if the student’s password is Pa$$word123, the student was previously able to log in using pa$$word123 or PA$$WORD123. Now the student must enter the password in the exact case in which it is stored.
