Welcome to Health Science Technology!
I am one the Health Science Clinical instructors as well as the CNA instructor here at Tomball Memorial High School. I am also the lead advisor for HOSA, the largest student organization in the nation for Future Health Professionals! I am a registered nurse with 28 years of experience working in the medical field in a variety of roles and settings. I began my career straight out of high school as a medical assistant and later, earned my ADN at Lonestar College in 2001 then my BSN from University of Phoenix in 2010. I've worked in Family Medicine, Ob/Gyn, Med/Surg, Long Term Care, Home Health, and School Nursing.
This is my 13th year working in the best school district in Texas and I'm so excited to be working at Tomball Memorial High School! I began my career in the district at Rosehill Elementary in 2004 in the clinic as the school nurse then transferred to Tomball Elementary in 2007. My clinics were always preceptor sites for the TISD Health Science Clinical rotations students, as well as the Lonestar LVN, TWU BSN and U of H RN-BSN programs. I enjoyed working with the students so much that I decided to bring my years of expertise as a registered nurse to the classroom. This is my 4th year teaching our future health professionals and it is the most fun I've had at work in my life!
I am so excited and eager to bring my knowledge and real world experiences into the classroom to share with students who have a passion for a career in healthcare.
