Mr. Eugene Alfaro is in his first year with Tomball Memorial. He assists with all matters related to the Tomball Memorial Orchestra. He previously held a position at Harlingen High School South as an assistant orchestra director.

Mr. Alfaro received his Bachelors in Music Education from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi where he was a recipient of the Lichtenstein String Quartet Scholarship. He also holds a Masters of Music degree in performance from Texas State University-San Marcos. At TSU he was awarded a graduate assistantship where his duties included assisting with the Texas State String Project, assisting with Dr. Lynn Ledbetter’s violin studio, and conducting a non-major string orchestra. He was also a finalist for the 2014 Texas State Concerto Competition.

Mr. Alfaro has had the privilege of conducting the high school level orchestra at the Coastal Bend String Camp in Corpus Christi, TX. He is also been on faculty as a violin instructor at the Texas State Strings Camp in San Marcos, TX.

Mr. Alfaro has performed with the Kingsville Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Symphony Orchestra, and the Valley Symphony Orchestra. Previous teachers include Dr. Jose Flores and Dr. Lynn Ledbetter. On his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Elizabeth.
