This course is a year-long study of world history. Instruction in this course builds on the knowledge and skills that students have acquired in their previous studies of history and geography. The course is organized chronologically with content topics that focus on critical issues in history and during recent times. Students study and analyze global issues regarding politics, economics, society, and the environment.
Through historical inquiry, students will gain an understanding and appreciation of history as a story of people much like themselves, and they will become increasingly able to understand global interdependence and connections among world societies.
