Dr. Mike Metz was selected as Principal of Tomball Memorial High School

Prior to being named principal at TMHS, he served in Magnolia ISD as the principal at Magnolia High School for 3 years, and Magnolia Junior High for 2 years. Dr. Metz has 10 years of administrative experience in both Tomball and Magnolia ISD, serving a total of 16 years in education.
Dr. Metz grew up in Tomball, Texas, and is a product of Tomball ISD. Upon graduation from Tomball High School, he attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree.
He continued his education and earned a Master of Education Degree from Sam Houston State University (SHSU) in 2007. In 2015, he received a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University.
Dr. Metz is the husband of 16 years to his wife, Jenny, and is the proud father of his three children, Carly, 14, Gracie, 11, and Eli, 9. The Metz family lives in Tomball ISD and attends Tomball Bible Church.

On behalf of National Student Council, I want to congratulate you on the occasion of the Tomball Memorial High School Student Council being recognized as a 2019 National Gold Council of Excellence. Earning the award was no small task and your students’ success is a testament to the leadership and support you give to them and their adviser, and to the value placed on student council as an integral part of your school and its educational mission.
