I come from a family of educators and I am a "third" generation teacher. I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Management. I worked in Corporate America after graduating college for an oil company as a Compensation Analyst and at Waste Management as a Travel and Entertainment Card Coordinator. While at Waste Management, I completed my MBA from Western Governors University in Management & Strategy in 2007, and my Masters in Education from Lamar University with an emphasis in Administration in December 2009. I am starting my 13th year of teaching and have been in Tomball ISD for 12 years.
In 2008, my husband George and I started our own company called Pretzels Pleaze and were featured in the 33rd Annual Emmy Awards in 2012. We opened a storefront on Main Street in Downtown Tomball in 2013 offering chocolate covered treats, baskets, and corporate gifts. I hope to bring Real World experience to my students this year as I talk about my experiences in the corporate world and in owning my own business as they begin to enter the Real World. My husband George and I have two children. My son, Nicholas, is starting 2nd Grade this year and my daughter Clara is starting Kindergarten in Tomball ISD. We also have a Doberman named Harley that is a year old.
I look forward to working with all my students this year and having a wonderful year at Tomball Memorial!
