German Club

You don't have to be a German student to join German Club! Our club is open to all TMHS students and staff who are interested in the German culture and language. Our club is FOR students and run BY students, so it is a great opportunity to join a friendly and welcoming group, make decisions about how we can become engaged in our school and community to promote German-related activities, and have opportunities for leadership as a club officer. Our after school activities include celebrating German holidays, enjoying German food, playing German games, and watching German movies. We also have wonderful community support in this area, as it has a rich history of German heritage. Whether going to Groove Fest and seeing the Volkswagen car show or volunteering at the two Tomball German festivals held yearly, we enjoy being active and involved even outside of school. We also welcome the German exchange students who attend a year of high school at TMHS yearly from Tomball's sister city in Germany - Telgte - a beautiful small town in northwest Germany. Lastly, our TMHS chapter of the German Honor Society is a branch of the German Club; German students who demonstrate excellence in their German language studies in their TMHS German classes may qualify for the German Honor Society and be recognized nationally for their achievements.Take a look at our German Club video on this page to get to know us better! We hope you'll join us!
