About Me

Hello All!  I am so excited to start a new school year at Tomball Memorial High School. This 2019-2020 school year will be my 5th school year with Tomball Memorial teaching Introduction to Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts , Advanced Culinary Arts, and sponsoring FCCLA. These Family and Consumer Science courses and extracurricular activities expose students to relevant, real world skills that relate to thousands of career opportunities. I truly am excited to see what the new school year has in store...

Being from the Ft.Worth area, I graduated from Tarleton State University with my Master's Degree in Agricultural and Consumer Resources along with my teaching certification in Family and Consumer Science.  I also received my Bachelor's Degree in Communications from Tarleton in 2003.  Tarleton State University's teacher education program exposed me to creating a student centered classroom which I love implementing in every class, every day.

I have worked in the Food and Beverage Industry for over 16 years with 6 years of management under my belt. During my time as the Food and Beverage Manager, I realized I love teaching the students that I hired about basic cooking skills, inventory, cost, and customer service skills. These social and business skills are imperative in the real world which is why I decided to become a Family and Consumer Sciences educator. Ultimately, I want to share my passion for cooking, nutrition, and entrepreneurship with the students from Tomball Memorial High School.

I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my students and look forward to meeting as many parents as possible. Please let me know how I can help you! Also, feel free to email me at any time, as it is checked daily, and I will get back with you ASAP. Here's to an outstanding 2019-2020 school year. Go Wildcats!!!
