Hello! My name is Anna Sansom. This is my first year to teach at Tomball Memorial High School. I am a Tomball native and attended TISD throughout my entire education. After I graduated, I attended Lone Star College while working in a local pharmacy, then attended the University of Texas at Tyler for my Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Go Patriots!
I currently hold two certifications in nursing: Medical/Surgical and Bariatric Nursing. I have nearly 8 years of experience in hospital settings, mainly caring for patients recovering from surgery or a variety of other disease processes. Most recently, I have served in nursing leadership as a night assistant manager for over 2 years. What I enjoyed most in my nursing career was serving as a preceptor to young nursing students and new nurses to the profession. I enjoy witnessing their growth in confidence and critical thinking skills. I am really excited to share my healthcare experience and knowledge with my students in Medical Terminology, Principles of Health Science, Clinicals, and HOSA. I believe in open communication, so please do not hesitate to get in contact with me for any questions or concerns. Go Cats Go!
